Groove keeps the creative process simple, fast, and immediate. Use the built-in setup wizard to map almost any MIDI hardware in just a few clicks, then start playing, recording, chopping, sequencing, and arranging without slowing down your session.

Record audio directly into the main arrangement timeline, drag and drop loops or audio files straight into your project, and let Groove automatically match loop BPM the moment they hit the timeline. Whether you are sketching a beat, building a full track, or arranging a complete song, Groove keeps everything moving quickly.

Built-In AI Sample Generation and Stem Extraction

Groove includes a built-in AI sample generation system that lets you create new sample material from scratch directly inside the app. Generate fresh ideas, textures, loops, and source material without leaving your workflow.

The built-in stem extraction system lets you separate full audio files into core elements such as drums, melody, bass, vocals, and more. This makes it easy to remix, sample, rebuild, or transform existing audio into something completely new.

Powerful Pad, Kit, and Sampling Engine

Each kit in Groove supports up to 128 pad sample slots, giving you plenty of room for drums, chops, one-shots, loops, phrases, and layered sounds.

Groove also includes a full-featured multisampler for building powerful instrument patches with multi-velocity layering and key zones. Import SF2 instruments, bulk import them, or drag and drop them to convert into Groove’s .gins instrument format.

.gins instruments save all channel and effects settings, making it easy to recall the exact sound of your custom instrument patches.

Legendary Hardware-Inspired Sampler Models

Groove includes 16 powerful and accurate sampler engine models inspired by sought-after classic hardware sampler units:

AM60, AM3k, AS95, AS1k, AS11, CKS1, CKS2, CKS3, EM4k, SP12, EN16, KDS1, RS10, RS55, RS75, and YX16.

Each sampler engine model includes multiple variations, giving you a total of 225 sampler engine variations. Shape your drums, loops, chops, and instruments with a wide range of vintage-inspired sampling character, texture, tone, and color.

Smart Groove File Formats

Groove uses dedicated file formats designed to make production, recall, organization, and library browsing easier.

The .grvarch project format embeds all samples and audio data directly into the project archive, helping prevent missing samples, broken paths, and lost files.

The .gkit kit format embeds sample data, channel settings, effects settings, and pattern data so your kits and production setups can be recalled exactly as you created them.

The .gfx preset format lets you save and recall channel and effects settings as complete channel strip presets, including time-based effects and more.

Groove can bulk convert WAV and FLAC loops into .gloop format with embedded key, BPM, category, and tag metadata for easy recall inside the library browser.

Groove can also bulk convert WAV and FLAC one-shots into .gsnd format for reduced file size and embedded tag and category metadata.

Groove includes single and bulk key detection for loops, samples, and one-shots. Key information can be appended directly to filenames, making it easier to organize, search, and use your sounds in future sessions.

The powerful library browser gives you fast access to the factory Groove library and your own user library. Search by text, browse by tags and categories, then drag sounds directly to pads or into the arrangement timeline.

Deep Wave Editing and Slicing

Groove includes a powerful wave editor with essential editing tools like trim, fade, reverse, pitch adjustment, and time adjustment.

The slicing section gives you grid slicing, transient auto-slicing, and manual slicing. Once your chops are ready, send them directly to pads, with Groove automatically adding each slice to a choke group for classic sample-chop performance.

Built-In Community and Expansion Shop
