Corrupted Zip or Error During extraction of zip file on mac?
WE RECOMMENED ALL MAC USERS USE KEKA FOR FILE EXTRACTION. ITS FREE HIGHLY REGARDED AND WORKS PERFECT WITH SPLIT ZIP FILES https://www.keka.io/en/ Safari corrupted ZIP downloads often stem from automatic unpacking of incomplete files or network issues. Fix this by disabling automatic file opening, right-clicking to download, or using an alternative browser. Key solutions include clearing cache, verifying storage space, and ensuring the download saves to local storage rather than iCloud Drive.  YouTube +4 Primary Solutions for Safari Zip Issues Disable "Open Safe Files" (Most Common Fix): Safari often tries to open zip files before they are fully downloaded. Go to Safari > Settings (or Preferences) > General, and uncheck "Open "safe" files after downloading". Use "Download Linked File As": Instead of clicking, hold the Option key and click a link, or right-click and choose "Download Linked File As...". This often prevents corruption. Change Download Location: Ensure downloads are saving to a local folder rather than iCloud Drive. Go to Settings > General > Downloads and select a local location. Clear Website Data/Private Browsing: Open a Private Window (Shift-Command-N) to download, or go to Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data to remove cache for the specific site. Use Alternative Software: If using the built-in macOS Archive Utility causes truncation for large files, use a third-party tool to decompress, or use the Terminal command d2 -xk.  YouTube +5 Steps if File is Already Corrupted Delete and Redownload: Sometimes a simple retry works if the issue was a temporary network drop. Check Free Space: Ensure your Mac/iPhone has enough storage to complete the download, as full drives cause corrupted files. Use Another Browser: Try Google Chrome or Firefox to determine if the issue is exclusively with Safari settings.  Apple Support Community +4 iPhone/iPad Specific Fixes Clear Safari Data: Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Restart/Force Quit: Force close Safari and restart the device.
I'm having an error extracting a large zip download, how to fix this?
Web browsers dont handle large zip file downloads particularly well some better than others. If the connection crops even for a millisecond the browser mistakenly thinks the download is complete. Leaving an incomplete and unable to extract zip file. The best solution is to clear your cache, shift+delete the broken zip and re-download to a different location with a different browser.
An instrument plug-in is asking for an .hr1 file at launch, how do i fix this?
Well titan for example you need to click "Choose Sample Folder" and NOT "Install Samples" for instance with titan you need to extract the TitanLibrary.zip to your desired location. Then when you launch click "Choose Sample Folder" and locate where you extracted the TitanLibrary.zip to and click (single click) the Samples folder within and clicking Select folder. It will then ask you to close your daw and relaunch. You can then activate your license and begin to use your product.
I clicked "Install Samples" button on titan and now it is not letting me select the sample folder?
You can delete the folder that titan creates on first launch with application support etc and it will act like it was never opened so you can start over.
